I am the Founding Academic Chair of Psychological Medicine at Westmead Hospital, University of Sydney - the department in which BDC was initially established. I have had a long-standing interest in boderline personality disorders, and head BDC research in this area. I have developed a specific model for therapy, published in a number of significant books, and which has won international acclaim. My research findings are also translated into new therapy techniques for the borderline condition. I have pioneered these techniques, known as the 'conversational model'.
